Michael Lohan
Managing Partner
Michael Lohan is the Founding Principal of Nineteen Blocks. Michael is responsible for the company’s finance operations, overseeing the acquisitions pipeline as well as the planning and execution of fundraising and investor relations programs, including cultivation of HNW and Family Office investor networks, and managing relationships with current and potential institutional investors. Prior to Nineteen Blocks Group, Michael was a Managing Director at The Nassimi Group. In this capacity, he advised a bench of domestic and international clients for commercial brokerage and investment sales for single-assets, portfolios, development sites, JV partnerships and partial equity sales across multifamily, office, retail and hospitality asset classes. Michael received a B.S. in Finance and Economics and graduated summa cum laude from Ithaca College. He was also a 4-year varsity lacrosse letterman at Ithaca.
Michael is passionate about his relationships, fitness, travel, and most importantly, spending time with his wife, Nina, and daughters, Isabel & Summer.
Jacob Hernandez
Market Director | Central Region
Jacob serves as Market Director for the Central region, where he is tasked with developing the region's multifamily and industrial business strategy and cultivating new capital relationship. Jacob is an accomplished real estate broker that has been working in the industry since 2014. He loves his home city of Austin and is passionate about the MSA’s growth and development, which he has witnessed first-hand. He specializes primarily in investment sales and site selection for his deep bench of industrial clients, which he has cultivated by taking a relationship-first approach to build trust. Prior to his career in real estate, Jacob was focused on his professional track career with three national championships in the 800m during his time at the University of Texas. After college, Jacob traveled the world running professionally with Nike while pursuing the Olympics.
Luke Burns
Market Director | Mountain West
Luke serves as Nineteen Blocks' Market Director for the Mountain West, tasked with developing the region's business strategy and cultivating key partnerships. Monitoring transaction activity in the marketplace to identify notable trends in the capital markets, aligning them with Nineteen Blocks' investment strategy.
With an MBA from the University of Colorado Boulder and leadership experience in the US Coast Guard and emergency response, I possess valuable skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and navigate complex challenges in the dynamic field of CRE. Eager to connect with industry professionals who share my vision and values, I actively seek new opportunities for growth and collaboration.
Evan Gaines
Market Director | East Region
Evan Gaines is a Market Director at the Nineteen Blocks Group where he is primarily responsible for analysis and project management, and capital raising and advisory services across the Northeast and Southeast. Before joining 19 Blocks, Mr. Gaines was directly involved in 4+ years’ worth of transactions spanning all commercial real estate asset classes (multifamily, mixed-use, retail, office, industrial, medical, hospitality, and development sites) worth over $500M in capital.
Previously, Mr. Gaines was at GFI Development Company and Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment underwriting, master planning and modeling mixed-use transactions. He provided transactional and analytical support to the entire development team concerning acquisitions and dispositions, capital raises, project management, and asset management. Prior to joining GFI Development Company, Mr. Gaines was an Investment Banking Analyst at Hammond Hanlon Camp (H2C) in New York. During his tenure he was a member of the firm’s healthcare real estate group, where he serviced a variety of real estate, M&A, and capital market transactions. Mr. Gaines graduated with a B.S. in Hotel Administration and a Minor in Real Estate, with a focus in finance and accounting from Cornell University S.C. Johnson College of Business – School of Hotel Administration.
